SonarCloud for K-12 schools
The school PA system you already own, made modern.
Most schools do not need to replace their PA system. They need better control of it. SonarCloud plugs into the amplifier you already have and adds scheduled bells, voice-cloned announcements, translation into 50+ languages, and one-tap emergency override from a web dashboard.
Book a callWhat a school PA system is expected to do today
A public address system used to mean one thing: a microphone in the office and speakers in the hallway. That is no longer the job. A school PA is now the building-wide channel for the daily rhythm of the school day and, in an emergency, the fastest way to reach every person in the building at once.
- Morning announcements and daily routines
- Class-change bells and period transitions
- Targeted messages to one room, one wing, or the whole campus
- Music and calm transitions between periods
- Emergency and lockdown announcements that override everything else
The two ways to modernize a school PA
When a PA starts to feel limiting, schools usually hear one answer: rip it out and start over. That is sometimes correct, but it is the most expensive and most disruptive option, and it is often not necessary.
A full replacement makes sense when the speakers themselves are failing, when the wiring is degraded, or when a building is already being renovated. In those cases the infrastructure has to be opened up anyway.
A control layer makes sense when the speakers and wiring are fundamentally sound and the limitation is the box driving them. The speakers are passive — they play whatever signal they are given. Replacing what sends that signal changes what the whole system can do, without touching a ceiling speaker.
What SonarCloud adds to the PA you already have
SonarCloud is a device that connects to your existing PA amplifier, paired with a dashboard your staff use from any browser or phone.
- Schedule bells that handle holidays, rotations, early dismissals, and testing days
- Clone a staff voice so announcements sound consistent without daily recording
- Deliver the same announcement in 50+ languages automatically
- Import an existing CSV or spreadsheet bell schedule instead of retyping it
- Send announcements to specific zones — one classroom, the gym, or the whole building
- Trigger an emergency override that plays everywhere at once
Reaching the right part of the building
Whole-building announcements are the easy case. The harder case is reaching only the people who need the message — the gym during a test, the cafeteria at lunch, one hallway during a drill — without disturbing everyone else. Zone control is what separates a modern system from a single loudspeaker switch.
Emergency announcements
During a lockdown, weather event, or medical emergency, the message has to play immediately, in every room and hallway, and stay in sync so everyone hears the same instruction at the same time. SonarCloud has a dedicated override for this that takes priority over scheduled audio.
What SonarCloud is not
Being precise here saves everyone time.
- It is not a speaker or amplifier manufacturer. It does not replace your hardware unless the hardware itself is failing.
- It is not a parent messaging platform. It reaches the building through the speakers, not families through text messages.
- It is not the SonarQube / "SonarCloud" code-quality tool for software developers. The names are unrelated.
Getting started
Setup is three steps: plug the SonarCloud device into your PA, open the app, and make an announcement from anywhere. Most schools are running shortly after setup.
Frequently asked questions
Does SonarCloud replace our existing PA system?
No. SonarCloud plugs into the PA you already have and adds scheduling, voice cloning, translation, and dashboard control on top of it.
Do we need new speakers or wiring?
In most cases no. SonarCloud works with the amplifier and speakers already installed. If your speakers or wiring are failing, that is a separate hardware question worth assessing first.
Can we keep our current bell schedule?
Yes. You can upload an existing CSV or spreadsheet and SonarCloud maps your bells, periods, and events without manual re-entry.
Does it work with an older analog PA?
SonarCloud is designed for schools with legacy PA infrastructure as well as newer systems, which is why it connects at the amplifier rather than requiring a network-native speaker installation.
How is pricing structured?
Pricing is quoted per school after a short call, because scope depends on the number of buildings, zones, and announcements. There is no public self-serve price list.
